After the World Photography Festival approached us about becoming an official partner for their festival we just couldnt refuse.
The day started off by all of us meeting outside Temple underground station. We had a quick chat before moving off to Somerset House.
Once inside we were blown away by the enthusiasm of the photographers around us, it really was a hub of people within one place who all shared the same interest.
We listened to a very informative seminar from none other than photographer Philip Andrews who discussed polished portraits and awe inspiring landscapes and how to edit these to another level using Abode Lightroom & Photoshop.
After this we had a look at all the photos from each finalist in the Sony World Photography Awards exhibition, there was some truly mind blowing work from photographers across the globe.
Then we stopped off for a light lunch of sandwiches and various brownies before our main event.
We all gathered inside the private conference room kindly given to us from the World Photography Festival. Once inside we listened to the talented photographer Alan Harbord, an ambassabor for Hasselblad. He went on to tell us his story of how he got to where he is today. This was very informative and interesting. All of the members then had the opportunity to bring along their portfolios on cd which we put onto the conference screen for a critique/review session. Thanks to Alan Harbord for coming down and your professionalism.
Lastly we all decided to go to The Wellington pub in nearby Charing Cross where we all had dinner, beers and reminised over the days events.
We hope you enjoyed this meetup, it was a pleasure to have organised!
See you at the next meetup!
